About Us

Bastardo Coffee Roasters was born in 2022 with the goal of proving that coffee doesn't have to be complicated and helping make Aveiro a benchmark for specialty coffee. By roasting every bean, we aim to bring out its best characteristics and highlight what makes it unique.

We are straightforward and, above all, irreverent. We aren't here to make up rules or turn coffee into something it isn't. We like doing things our own way, with personality and zero snobbery.

And why are we called Bastardo? Because we like mixing what wasn't supposed to be together in the first place. Our name celebrates the open-minded union of Arabica and Robusta, showing that sometimes, balance comes from the most unlikely blends. Our "bastardized" blends are proof of just that.

At the end of the day, we just want to make good coffee, welcome people well, and stay true to what we believe in. The rest is just talk. And that, preferably, happens over a cup of coffee.
